We Trust In The Lord

We Trust In The Lord For Everything

Here is your Daily Devotional Prayer for November 27, 2016 brought to you by The Plough

“Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.”

Psalm 25:8–9

Lord our God, dear Father in heaven, we thank you that we may be your children, led by you. We thank you for guiding us in times of grief and never forsaking us. Now, as of old, you are with us, Lord our God, and you show us the way in every situation. Protect us in this present time, and grant us strength to go on patiently even when our lives hold much suffering and distress. We thank you for your guidance and rejoice in your help for our time. Reveal your hand in power, for soon, very soon, your right hand will change everything. Amen.

Daily Commentary: God is the ultimate teacher. He spends His time showing us His love and giving us all we need. We trust in the Lord for He has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is the Lord  of Lords and King of Kings.

In times of despair, we learn how to trust god completely in all things. Trust and faith go hand in hand. For us sinners, the true meaning of trust comes not in our failure but in God’s love. Without it, we could not survive.

“God keeps on giving even though we do not deserve it but that is how He operates. he gives love unconditionally.  We see this in  Deuteronomy 30:9,Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors.”

We don’t need to test God because it is a heartfelt expression of trust in God that keeps us going. The promises He has made of eternal salvation and a love so strong He even died on the cross for us.

We ask the Lord for these three things when it comes to trust:

  1. “Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old”Psalm 25:6
  2. “Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious way” – Psalm 25:7
  3. “According to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good.” – Psalm 25:7

A loving God is to be trusted in all things for he says,“My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.”  Isiah 55:8. That is why we put our trust in the Lord.
