How To Find Your Superpowers?
“Having a superpower has nothing to do with the ability to fly or jump, or superhuman strength. The truest superpowers are the ones we all possess: willpower, integrity, and most importantly, courage.”
What kind of unique superpower do you have? Each one of us has a power within us to change the world in some way, shape or form yet the vast majority of us never seem to access that power. We sit around the house and complain because others have more money, a better car or even a bigger house but do we actually go out and make it all happen for ourselves?
Not really. Most people are happy to complain and feel sorry for themselves and their situation but it doesn’t have to be that way. You can impact the world with your personal power.
Whatever happen to your hopes? Your goals? And your dreams? Did they fly by the wayside as the years slowly slipped away from you? you give up on a piece of you that you didn’t think you could accomplish? AIs there a vision of you that the world hasn’t seen yet?
You have superpowers inside of you that are just screaming to get out! Superpowers that want to change the world!
What is it about you that can change the world?
What is it inside of you that needs to make a statement?
“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” – Matthew 17:20
Do You Know What Your Superpowers Are?
“When you tune into your soul essence and are in harmony with the Supreme, you are tapped into your superpowers.”
Knowing that you have superpowers is far different than actually putting them into action. You see, those powers have always been inside of you. It consists of your talents and abilities that God gave you to make your mark upon the world.
Before you can access those superpowers, you must believe with all your heart that you possess these powers. It is here where your destiny lies, not on the couch wishing or hoping you could do something with your life.
The magic happens when you put your passions to work. Through your passions you find the source of your power. God is the ultimate source and you are like a lightbulb. Your actions are what turns the light on.
You must first recognize the greatness within you. And yes, you do have it! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The path to greatness lies in your heart and mind but you must take action.
All superpowers begin with gratitude. Acknowledging God for what He has given you and what He wants of you should be the basis for understanding the superpowers you have. Without gratitude, you will be like a rocket ready to lift off but have no fuel for the ride.
Greatness cannot be measured. Instead, you must constantly be cultivating it and creating ways to use your powers for good.
How do I do that?
1- Align your values, beliefs and vision with your true self – It’s not about stepping on a bandwagon with everyone else but finding your own path, your own road to greatness and following through till the end.
2- Stop denying and rejecting your inner voice – There’s a reason why we’ve been given this voice. It is there to lead us to our destiny. Don’t deny your greatness. Learn to live with it, nurture it and allow it to bring happiness to others.
3- Focus on what matters in your life not others – Don’t get so caught up in what everyone else is doing or what they are going through. It’s good to lend a hand but you need to take care of yourself. It is then that our hearts align with our inner vision. From there, we create value in the world… not only for ourselves but others who need it. “Nothing can dim the light which shines from within.” – Maya Angelou
Get Your Superpowers On
“I discovered that my insecurities and my flaws were things that I actually need to embrace, and I let them become my superpowers.”
Now that you know you have superpowers and believe in your superpowers, it’s time to start using your superpowers for good. Using superpowers in real life is not a game. This isn’t like the Incredibles movie where you go out and save the world. Instead, you take the vision of who you are and what you want to become and start living that life.
It doesn’t matter if no one else believes in you. You are not dependent on others for your superpowers. Stop working against yourself by destroying the hope and vision God has implanted in your soul. It is being totally aware of your gifts and giving them away to the world unconditionally.
Focus on what you are best at and the choices you make will have a lasting effect on mankind. Those who put their visions in check cheat themselves and the world out of the beauty they have to offer. Don’t let that happen to you.
4 Transformations That Your Superpowers Can Unlock:
1- Spiritual – We are all spiritual beings who need to bring out our spirituality to make out superpowers work. Imagine driving a car without wheels. The idea is there but the wheels will get you to your destinations. So it is with your spiritual side.
2- Beliefs – Your core beliefs make up who you are. You don’t need to look to anyone or anything to access them. You know deep in your heart what is right and what s wrong. When you sin, you feel it and it takes you off the pathway. Your superpowers keep your life in balance and are a source of influence and authority. They are the true, authentic you that world needs to see and experience.
3- Thoughts – Whatever thoughts you have and wherever they take you, you must take responsibility for them. This is why you must concentrate on keeping your thoughts positive and pure. This takes discipline and inner strength. It will not come easy but when the authentic you is allowed to flourish your thoughts follow. When you allow your thoughts to control you, your weaknesses get the better of you and your self-destructive tendencies take over. Thoughts are energy and can be used for pleasure and for pain. What do you want to cause?
4- Actions – Your actions are the result of the first three transformations. All leaders know that their actions determine what happens in life. Your superpowers are to be used for positive power in the world. Your action challenge your visions and beliefs. pushing themselves to do amazing things in spite of everything around them pushing against their progress.
Living With Your Superpowers
“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.”
Harnessing your superpowers is a lifelong journey. It all about amplifying your strengths by adopting a strong moral compass. You can’t run away from life. You must face it head on and develop strength from the encounters.
There are 3 Facets Of Having Superpowers
When you develop your superpowers, you need to focus on gaining confidence, being productive and developing a controlled mindset. This mindset is able to change your habits and focus in on what needs to be done physically, mentally and spiritually to become the person you were meant to be.
From his book entitled, “Developing your Super Powers”, Francis Williams Duncan LCSW, states, “Our subconscious mind holds claim to about 90% of our brainpower. When you develop your Super Powers, you are recognizing and honing your innate abilities. As you develop your Superpowers, your awareness will expand and you will develop control over mind-body processes that previously happened subconsciously.”
The superpowers you develop should be used to inspire others to recognize their own superpowers instead on conforming to society’s norms. Those that embrace being different are able to overcome the junk that fills our brains and forces us to compromise. They let doubts creep into their hearts and fail to live up to their potential.
People with superpowers expand their consciousness by continuing to learn everyday through study, practice and experience. It’s the constant learning through trial and error that pushes these people to great heights.
In her article “You, the Superhero! 5 Ways You Can Develop a Superpower” Catherine Calarco explains what superpowers are and how they work by writing,“These heroes’ superpowers are really expressions of heart values and true compassion. These values are embedded in each of us and lie dormant waiting to be cultivated. They are super because they can help rewrite a moment, heal emotional wounds, erase negative self-talk, improve relationships, nurture beauty, and grow happiness. They can change the perception and change outcomes — and ultimately, each and every time they are used, they help to create a better world.”
The next time you look in the mirror and think to yourself that you are not good enough, remember this, you have superpowers you haven’t activated yet. The time is now to fly and become the person God wanted you to be.
Having superpowers comes with it’s own responsibility. Just remember this: Take yourself to the next level and find your unique superpower and run with it. The world needs more people like you.
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
