Go From Darkness Into The Light
Here is your Daily Devotional Prayer for October 17, 2016 brought to you by The Plough
“The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”
Father in heaven, we thank you for giving us light. We thank you for the great hope for a day whose light is not of our making, whose source is in you, a day to come that can touch our lives already today. Keep our hearts steadfast, free of all human wavering. May we always hold to the love you have given through your grace, and may we find joy in your love, which is full of light and understanding. Amen.
Daily Commentary: God’s word is what lights our pathway. We come to the light and awake from our sleep ready to dress our souls in the light of Jesus Christ. No more evident is it shown than when we go deep within our own hearts and see the darkness of sin. It is by allowing God to come into our hearts that we are able to fight of the temptations of Satan as he tries to manipulate us in his own darkness.
Our day is the total glory of redemption in heaven by which we tear off our blinders and see with the Father’s eyes. We then cast off the darkness of sin and put on the armor of light which shines God’s graces throughout the world. This the armor of light, stands against the deeds of darkness and we trust Jesus to take us on our way to heaven which is lighted by God’s unconditional love.
