Praise The Lord All You Nations
Here is your Daily Devotional Prayer for October 30, 2016 brought to you by The
“Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.”
Lord our God, we thank you that we may come to you and that our spirits can reach out for your help and your comfort. May we draw strength from communion with you, our Father. May we realize more fully that we are your children, truly your children, who throughout our pilgrimage are allowed to know you as our refuge and our help. Remember our world, and grant that many hearts awaken and turn to you, looking to you in all the fear and need which sweep over many people in our time. Let your Spirit be revealed to our hearts in quiet, bringing many experiences from you, O Lord our God, and from your kingdom. Protect us every day in the many lands throughout the earth. For the nations are yours; they shall receive life and blessing from you, and at last your kingdom will be revealed in all the world, to the eternal glory of your name. Amen.
Daily Commentary: Do you know why is worship important to us? We create a place where God’s word lives and breathes within us. Worship is a way to to bring what we feel deep inside outwardly in a way that brings us closer to God. Praise is a way to get in touch with the spiritual aspect of who we are.
Praising also Is to brings glory to God where it belongs. In Romans 3:23, it states, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Because of this, the words of praise to Gd are like the angels singing in heaven. They resonate with out love of the Lord and all his ways.
God demands our worship as written in Matthew 4:10, “Jesus said to him, Away from me, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only..” But not only that, He deserves it. He made the world and everything in it including you. Everything you have, all the things you’ve experienced, both good and bad, are from him. His unconditional love gave you life and that’s where our praise comes from.
Praise the Lord so that every ear shall hear His word and “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. ” Philippians 2:10-11.
